One of the language processing that a person uses is language style. Language style is a person's way of expressing their thoughts and feelings through unique language, which shows the spirit and personality of language use. This research aims to discuss comparative language styles in the short story collection A Pair of Old Shoes by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The theory applied in this research is stylistic theory. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques using note-taking techniques which means, the writer as the key instrument makes observations carefully, directed and thorough. Technique for presenting data in narrative form. From the research results in the short story collection A Pair of Old Shoes by Sapardi Djoko Damono, a total of seven types of comparative language styles were obtained. The seven language styles are imagery, metaphor, personification, antithesis, pleonasm, periphrasis, and corrective language.
