Based on data from district/city health profile reports in 2022, maternal mortality rate (AKI) in North Sumatra is 85/100,000 live births, while the maternal mortality rate (AKI) in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency is 187/229.198 live births in 2022. The 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Develompment Plan mandates that the maternal mortality rate (AKI) is by making design by setting a target of 95 percent of deliveries in health facilities. Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency is a Regancy/City that has not achieved the target of delievery coverage in health facilities in 2023, ranking 17th lowest (81,88%). The research was conducted in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency in May 2024. The aim of the research is to analyze the effect of health service characteristics and resources in selecting facilities maternal health in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. The type of this research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The population is all mothers giving birth in the last 6 months in 2023 in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, totaling 726 mothers giving birth. The sample size for this study was 258 mothers giving birth. Data was collected through questionnaries. The research result show that there is an effect knowledge and perceptions regarding the selection of maternal health facilities. The variabel that has the most dominant effect is perception. Women of childbearing age, especially pregnant women, are advised to seek information abouth the importance of pregnancy cheeks. Birth attendants are health workers and prefer the best birthing place to be a health facility.
