    Abstract
    This research discusses the illocutionary speech act of the animated film محمد ابن موسى الخوارزمي /Muhammad Ibnu Mu s̅a Al-Khawa r̅izmi /̅. The problem of this research is how to classify the illocutionary speech acts of the characters in the animated film محمد ابن موسى الخوارزمي /Muhammad Ibnu Mu s̅a Al-Khawa r̅izmi /̅. The purpose of this research is to identify the classification of illocutionary speech acts in the animated film محمد ابن موسى الخوارزمي /Muhammad Ibnu Mu s̅a Al- Khawa ̅rizmi ̅/. This research is library research with the theory used in this research is speech act theory by Searle. This research uses the uninvolved conversition observation technique and the note-taking method by listening to and noting the dialogue containing illocutionary speech acts in the animated film. The results of the study showed that five classifications of illocutionary speech acts were found, they are assertive totaling forty-two with the intention of informing, stating, affirming, predicting, and complaining. Directive speech acts totaling twenty-four with the intention of ordering, asking, requesting, advising, begging, allowing, expecting, suggesting, and inviting. Commissive speech acts totaling six with the intention of promising, offering and refusing. Expressive speech acts totaling sixteen with the intention of praising, praying, being grateful, thanking, welcoming, and congratulating. Then declarative speech acts totaling five with the intention of lifting, determining, and naming. The conclusion of this research is that the illocutionary speech acts in the animated film are not all spoken languages in accordance with the intention of the speech, because there are spoken languages that are different from the intention and purpose of the speech be spoken.
