This study aims to analyze the differences in self-diagnosed and self-medication behaviors between health and non-health undergraduate students of USU 2021. Methods. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire distributed through a hybrid method to active USU students, class of 2021. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using accidental sampling. The data were analyzed using the Chi-square test to determine behavioral differences between groups.
Results. The prevalence of self-diagnosed practices among health students was 76%, compared to 62% among non-health students. self-medication practices were also high, with 78% among health students and 74% among non-health students. Chi-square analysis showed no significant differences in self-diagnosed behavior (p = 0.194) or self-medication behavior (p = 0.815) between the two groups. Conclusion. There were no significant differences in self-diagnosed or self-medication tendencies based on educational background.
