Facing the persistently high infant mortality rate in Indonesia, caused by five main diseases pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, measles, and malnutrition the government has been working since 1997 to implement a health program from the World Health Organization (WHO) called Management program for sick toddlers. This program is an integrated approach to managing sick children in outpatient care units of primary health care facilities, focusing holistically on the health of children aged 0 to 59 months. Based on an initial survey at Kampung Baru Health Center, the implementation of the integrated management program for sick toddlers has been running, but not optimally, as not all sick children receive IMST services. This is due to limitations in human resources, infrastructure, and the lack of commitment from health workers in providing IMST services. The number of child visits to Kampung Baru Health Center in 2023 was 4,606, with IMST service coverage of 789 cases. This study aims to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of the implementation of integrated management program for sick toddlers at Kampung Baru Health Center. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research location was at Kampung Baru Health Center, Medan Maimun District. The informants of this study include the head of the health center, doctors involved in IMST, IMST officers in charge, and mothers of sick children. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the IMST services at Kampung Baru Health Center are functioning but not optimally. This is evident from the lack of human resources, insufficient infrastructure, and a lack of commitment from health workers in providing IMST services, as well as a shortage of trained health personnel and an IMST service flow that does not align with the IMST Module. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Kampung Baru Health Center staff and health workers undergo training to be able to carry out IMST in accordance with the module. In addition, it is hoped that IMSTofficers will improve their commitment to providing IMST services and enhance the facilities and infrastructure so that the IMST approach can run effectively.en_US
