In this research, the use of bioethanol from banana peel waste as a mixture of gasoline fuels has proven to be effective in reducing problems that really annoy community and is proven to be able to improve engine performance based on test results. The variations in the concentration of the addition of bioethanol for pertalite type gasoline are 25%; 35%; 45%; and 55% (v/v) with Total Mixture of 1 L . Bioethanol - Pertalite mixture was tested out with a 125 cc motorcycle engine using a digital dynamometer (dyno test). Test results showed that the addition of bioethanol to pertalite type gasoline resulted in an increase in calorific value of 42.51 MJ/Kg respectively; 43.01 MJ/Kg; 44.58 MJ/Kg and 46.58 MJ/Kg, for the addition of Bioethanol with a concentration of 25%; 35%; 45%; and 55% (v/v) respectively. In addition, testing the power and torque of engine using pertalite type gasoline resulting from addition of bioethanol increased when concentration of the mixture of 55% bioethanol and 45% pertalite was 5.9 N-m and 14 hp, respectively. Meanwhile, gas emissions produced by motorcycle engines decrease when using a mixture of 55% bioethanol and 45% pertalite. Therefore, pertalite gasoline fuel. The results of the addition of 55% (v/v) Bioethanol show an increase in calorific value, power, torque and reduce gas emissions so that it is good for application as a mixture of gasoline fuel in motorbikes.en_US
