In this era of intense business competition, a company is required to produce efficiently in order to reduce its production costs. PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia. Medan Branch, is one of the companies that produces livestock feed specifically chicken feed. One of the critical aspects to address is the reduction of meject products which currently reach 100-400 tons every month, by using lean approach. The lean approach used to reduce rejected product is Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method, which is divided into eight stages. The stages include problem bentification, data analysis and target setting, cause and effect analysis, solution planning, implementation analysis, result evaluation, new standard setting, and planning for the next project. During these stages, other lean tools such as fishbone agram and Pareto diagram are utilized. The findings indicate that palm shell fuel with a calorific value above 4000 kcal/kg and coal with a calorific value of at least 6000 kcal/kg are necessary to maintain steam condition, conduct regular predictive maintenance for scale, check the nutrition of dough after the mixing process, expand sourcing of materials, implement regulations and sanctions for employees, and accelerate laboratory test duration.
