dc.description.abstractCurrently, laser cutting is widely used in various industrial sectors, because the resulting quality is high. The application of laser cutting, especially CO2 laser cutting in the manufacture of medical implants, provides great hope for manufacturing processes in the medical field. The cutting is aimed at cutting plates stainless steel 316L for medical applications, especially implantable tissue plates. In this study, the machining parameters used in CO2 laser cutting include power [100, 150 and 200] watts, cutting speed [50, 100 and 150] mm/min, gas pressure [3, 6 and 9] bar, and nozzle distance [1, 3 and 5] mm. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the laser cutting CO2 machining process with these parameters resulted in the lowest wall dimension deviation of 210,431 μm, the lowest hole dimension deviation of 11,657 μm, the lowest surface roughness (Ra) of 20,28 μm, the lowest HAZ of 158,80 μm, geometry and burrs in the good category.en_US
