Abstract
Placenta Previa is one of the causes of death of pregnant women and babies in the third trimester of pregnancy due to heavy bleeding after delivery and if you do not receive prompt treatment it can cause shock, death, anemia and placentitis. Placenta Previa is a placenta that is abnormally located in the lower segment of the uterus so that it covers part or all of the internal uterine ostium. This senior practicum aims to improve students' ability to describe and provide maternity nursing care to mothers post cesarean section with placenta Previa in the maternity ward of Prof. Hospital. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North Sumatra starting from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Based on the results of the study and evaluation carried out by the author on post partum maternal patients with placenta previa in the maternity ward at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis, University of North Sumatra, there are several problems that arise, including acute pain related to caesarean section wounds, the definition of self-care related to weakness, impaired physical mobility related to caesarean section wound pain, ineffective breastfeeding related to inadequate oxytocin reflexes, and the definition of knowledge related to with ignorance of placenta previa information. After the author carried out the implementation, the evaluation results showed that all problems could be resolved. The conclusion obtained is that students are able to carry out and document nursing care in the form of scientific writing. It is hoped that patients, families and nurses can work together well to provide care for post caesarean section patients to prevent complications..
