Management of Services and Nursing Care for Clients with Burn Disorders in the Post Surgery ICU Room at H. Adam Malik Central General Hospital
Abstract
Burns are a type of tissue damage or injury caused by contact with high temperatures such as fire, hot water, chemicals, electricity, radiation and others. Burns are traumatic cases that contribute to morbidity, mortality and disability globally which are relatively the same as other types of injuries (munthe et al., 2019). This research was conducted using the case study method with a nursing process approach which includes: assessment, data analysis, nursing planning, implementation and evaluation. The nursing diagnoses that emerged for Mr. M according to data analysis there are 3, namely: Acute Pain, Risk of Infection, Risk of Dysfunction, and Impaired Skin Integrity. Evaluation criteria for Pain Management interventions are reports of reduced or controlled pain, and the patient displays a relaxed facial expression and body posture. Next, evaluation criteria for the intervention. Skin Care is to demonstrate tissue granulation and achieve timely healing of the burned area. Then, the evaluation criteria for the Infection Protection and Wound Care intervention are to achieve timely wound healing, free of purulent exudate, and the patient does not experience fever.
