dc.description.abstractAcademic procrastination in completing a thesis is a delay that is deliberately carried out repeatedly, by carrying out other activities so as to hinder the process of completing the thesis. This does not rule out the possibility of this also happening to high achieving students. This research was conducted to examine the role of self efficacy and locus of control in academic procrastination in thesis completion among outstanding students at Gajah Putih University, Takengon. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling involving 115 students. Research data collection used 3 scales, namely the academic procrastination scale, the self efficacy scale and the locus of control scale . The research results show that (1) self efficacy is not plays a significant role in academic procrastination with an F value = 1.701 and a p value > .05 , (2) locus of control does not role in academic procrastination in a way significant with a value of F= 2.565 And p value > .05 , (3) self efficacy and locus of control do not play a significant role in academic procrastination with an F value of 2.083 and a p value of >.05 .en_US
