Center with the need for space that is able to support the economy and introduce the creativity of the
Batu Bara community. The method used in the design of the Handicraft and Souvenir Center building
is the glassbox method, which is a rational design method that is objective and systematic and
considerations derived from data analyses related to plans and gradual designs. In designing this Craft
and Souvenir Centre, a recreative architectural approach is used, where this approach becomes a
permanent choice because the function of the building is not only as a centre for economic
development. However, it is also a public space that provides comfort and pleasure as the main
elements for visitors, managers and the surrounding community. The design of the Craft and Souvenir
Centre building aims to be a place for various social and economic activities of the surrounding
community and visitors from outside the area. The design of the Craft and Souvenir Centre is motivated
by the lack of large-scale craft containers in Batu Bara Regency.
