dc.description.abstract | Mengayun anak ceremony is an Islamic religious rite, carried out by the
Simalungun Batak community in Nagori Rajamaligas. In the ceremony invited the
nasyid group, raja parhata, and relatives of both husband and wife. Ceremonial
offerings include plain flour, baby hair shaving, prayer and singing blessings from
the Nasyid group. The aim of this research is to describe the mengayun anak
ceremony and explain the function of the mengayun anak ceremony in
Hutabayuraja District. This research is a type of qualitative research. The research
was carried out in Hutabayuraja District, Simalungun Regency. Data comes from
nasyid groups, traditional heads and the Simalungun Batak community. Data
collection was carried out using observation, interviews, document study and
literature study methods; which use google schoolar and scimago. The research
instrument is a notebook. The analysis was carried out descriptively using data
reduction mechanisms, data presentation and writing conclusions. The theories
used are description theory by Supriadi, uses and functions by Alan P. Merriam,
and transcription by Bruno Nettl. The research results show that; (1) mengayun
anak ceremony experienced changes in terms of grammar, not all activities used
the traditional Simalungun language, then the people in Hutabayuraja District did
not consider the mengayun anak ceremony this must be done, because not all
people are able to present it; (2) the function of the mengayun anak ceremony is
prayer, thanksgiving and hope, so that the child will be happy in the future; and
(3) the tempo of the song for the child's rocking ceremony is moderate (andante),
using 2/4 time signature and 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 beat notation. | en_US |
