dc.description.abstractThis research using organic waste in the form of vegetable residues and strands of belangke bamboo (Gigantochloa pruriens) as raw materials with the aim of determining the effect of particle pretreatment on the quality of Hybrid Organic Solid Waste Particleboard (HOSWPb). The pretreatment given was in the form of cold water soaking (48 hours), hot water soaking (3 hours), steam in an autoclave (1 hour at a temperature of 120℃), and 3% citric acid soaking and 3% acetic acid soaking for 24 hours. Testing of the physical and mechanical properties of the board refers to the JIS A 5908 (2003) standard. The results of testing physical properties with water content parameters showed that there were 2 boards that met the standard, namely the hot water soaked board and the control board. Testing physical properties with thickness expansion parameters showed that there were 2 boards that met the standard, namely the citric acid soaked board and the control board. For testing mechanical properties with internal bonding parameters, there were 3 boards that met the standard, namely the cold water soaked board, the citric acid soaked board, and the acetic acid soaked board. Meanwhile, for the density test results as well as MOE and MOR, the entire board has met the JIS A 5908 (2003) standard.en_US
