Abstract
The research is carried out at the Agricultural Technology Study Center (BPTP) of North Sumatra. The objective of this research is to determine the Implementation of researchers information itteracy of from the Agricultural Technology Staly Center of North Sumatra using the information meracy life cycle This research unes a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach Determination of informants employs purposive sampling. The informants in this research are first researchers, young and middle. The data are collected with interviews technique.
The research results show that the implementation of researchers information Iteracy of researchers at BPTP of North Sumatra uses the information literacy life cycle as follows: (1) Researchers realize they need information, (2) Researchers identify through the process of discussion and research. (3) Researchers carry out the process of analysis in determining words. (4) Researchers tend to use electronic Information sources. (3) Researchers do not make use of information sources when they have not found the information needed (6) Researchers carry out independent analysis and make comparisons with other sources of information (7) Researcher calincts, selects storage media and compares with other sources of information (8) Researchers shape and present information as needed (9) Researchers carry out a field research process and identify the suitability of the problem. (10) Researchers utilize software arud hardware technology. (11) Researchers minimize the disposal of information and utilize security facilities (security).
