Variasi Bahasa Gaul Mandarin di Kolom Komentar Akun Douyin Pemberi Pengaruh Zhangtianqi: Kajian Sosiolinguistik

Abstract

This research aims to classify the forms and functions of Mandarin slang variations contained in the comments column of the Douyin Zhāngtiānqí account. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods to analyze the data collected. The data collected amounted to 25 comments consisting of two video themes, namely Gǎnhǎi (catching at sea) and Tǐyàn mángrén chūxíng (experience of traveling as a blind person). This research uses Bloomfield's (1933) theory of slang variation to identify the forms of slang variation found, and uses Jakobson's (1960) theory of Roman language function to identify the language function of the slang variations found. The results show that the analysis shows that there is 1 form of funny mispronunciation, 2 shortened forms, 8 interjections, 11 figuratif expressions, and 3 nicknames in the slang data used in communication on social media, especially on the Douyin platform.
