Diarrheal diseases remain a major public health issue in Indonesia, with high incidence rates, particularly among students. Limited knowledge, unsupportive attitudes, and inadequate preventive practices can increase the risk of diarrhea transmission. This study aims to identify the knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding diarrhea among non-health students at the University of Sumatera Utara. A descriptive quantitative research method was employed, using accidental sampling to select respondents. The sample consisted of 395 students from non-health faculties at the University of Sumatera Utara. The research questionnaire included 24 knowledge items, 4 attitude items, and 8 practice items. The results showed that the majority of respondents had moderate knowledge of diarrhea (216 respondents, 54.7%), negative attitudes toward diarrhea (253 respondents, 64.1%), and good practices (378 respondents, 95.7%). These findings indicate that although students had sufficient knowledge, this was not reflected in their predominantly negative attitudes. This study highlights the need for the university to enhance diarrhea education, improve students' attitudes, and foster healthy habits within the campus environment.en_US
