Objective: Analyze the relationship between BCR-ABL1 transcript variants and routine hematological parameters of CML patients at Adam Malik Hospital. Method: This was a retrospective cross-sectional observational study that analyzed the relationship between BCR-ABL1 transcript variants and routine hematological parameters (hemoglobin, leukocytes, platelets) in CML patients at Adam Malik Hospital from 2020 to 2024. Samples were collected using the total sampling method, including patients with chronic-phase CML, positive BCR-ABL1 results, and complete routine hematology data. Results: Among 152 CML patients, 38 patients met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study’s results showed that the BCR-ABL1 transcript variant was predominantly b3a2 (71.1%), while b2a2 was found in 28.9% of patients without coexistence. The majority of patients were male (60.5%), with an average age of 28.37 ± 16.23 years. Hematological analysis showed that platelet levels were significantly higher in males than in females (p = 0.026). Additionally, the leukocyte count in the b3a2 variant was significantly lower than in b2a2 (p = 0.045), whereas platelet and hemoglobin levels showed no significant differences. Conclusion: There was a statistically significant difference between leukocyte levels and BCR- ABL1 transcript variants. However, no significant statistical relationship was found between hemoglobin or platelet levels and BCR-ABL1 transcript variants.en_US
