Abstract : Digital banking services are an example of banking innovation that uses the Bank's electronic or digital facilities and independently collected data about Bank customers and/or potential customers. POJK No. 21 of 2023 serves as the foundation for the laws controlling digital banking services in Indonesia. Only broad regulations pertaining to the legal protection of users of digital banking services are regulated by this POJK. Among the commercial banks offering online banking services is Bank Syariah Indonesia. The issues covered in this thesis range from the LockBit group's hack of BSI's internal data to BSI's application of legal protection principles and POJK No. 21 of 2023's function in offering legal protection to clients utilizing digital banking services in an attempt to handle the intricacy of criminality in the area. online banking services. This thesis was written utilizing the normative juridical technique, which combines a conceptual and statutory approach. Primary, secondary, and tertiary legal texts are the secondary data sources used in this study. The data collecting method analyzes a variety of books through library research. The study's findings indicate that, as outlined in POJK No.21 of 2023, consumers utilizing digital financial services still have very little legal protection. This is because they are merely generally regulated by the legal protection legislation rather than being specifically regulated. As a result, new laws that specifically govern consumers' legal protection must be established in an attempt to foresee the intricacy of criminal activity in the realm of online financial services.
