Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by the inability of the pancreas to produce the hormone insulin in sufficient quantities. Diabetes mellitus is known as a silent killer because the sufferer often does not realize it and when it is discovered that complications have occurred. This research aims to manage nursing care for diabetes mellitus clients by intervening for non-compliance with diabetes medication. The method used is a case study with a descriptive single case design. The assessment instrument used is self-care diabetes mellitus based on King's model. Data collection using a nursing care approach consisting of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation through interviews, observation, distributing questionnaires and checking blood glucose levels. Nursing care is carried out to control blood sugar levels and improve clients' abilities regarding diabetes mellitus using educational media booklets, posters, modules and videos. Clients' blood glucose levels are increasingly controlled as indicated by a decrease in KGDS from 366 mg/dl to 190 mg/dl. Educate clients to carry out regular health checks/treatment regularly and treatment programs regarding regular use of medication to control blood sugar levels to remain stable, teach the benefits of treatment to provide knowledge of the importance of using diabetes medication regularly and teach clients to carry out self-medication (self-medication) so that clients independent in treatment and self-care.
