Self-Regulated Learning in Faculty of Pharmacy Students University of North Sumatra
Abstract
Self-regulated learning can be said to be one of the strategies or ways of learning
where students are guided starting from the way of thinking and learning in order
to get encouragement within themselves to motivate them to be active in the
learning process. There are several aspects in building self-regulated learning,
namely, metacognition, motivation, and behavior. This study aims to see how the
description of self-regulated learning in students of the Faculty of Pharmacy,
University of North Sumatra (high, medium, low). This research is a descriptive
quantitative research. This research was conducted on 244 students as a sample
using accidental sampling method. The data collection instrument in this study
used a self-regulated learning scale totaling 18 items. The data in this study used
crosstabulation analysis techniques. Data were analyzed using SPSS software.
The results of this study indicate that the majority of students of the Faculty of
Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra have self-regulated learning in the
moderate category with a percentage of 67.2%.
