Pengaruh Kuantitas Oli Mesin Sepeda Motor terhadap Performa Mesin Sepeda Motor Xeon
The Effect of Motorcycle Engine Oil Quantity on Xeon Motorcycle Engine Performance
Abstract
Every motor vehicle engine has the capacity and quantity of
lubricating oil to be able to work optimally. To run the engine there must be
oil that functions to lubricate every component in the engine. This research
aims to determine the effect of oil quantity on the power and torque produced
by the engine, the effect on fuel consumption, and the effect on the kinetic
energy produced by the vehicle. Effect of engine rotation speed on different oil
quantities. Oil quantity affects engine performance. The highest maximum
power is obtained at an oil volume of 1 liter with a value of 5.35 HP at an
engine rotation speed of 11520 rpm. Maximum torque is obtained at an oil
volume of 1 liter with a value of 2.45 ft.lbs or the equivalent of 3.32 N.m at an
engine rotation speed of 11500 rpm. Meanwhile, the maximum Air Fuel Ratio
(AFR) is obtained at an oil volume of 1 liter with a value of 14.75 at an engine
rotation speed of 13120 rpm. The highest maximum vehicle speed was
obtained at an oil volume of 0.6 liters with a value of 92.44 km/h in 20.34
seconds. From test results data based on engine rotation speed, it was found
that the smaller the oil volume, the lower the power required.
