This paper measures impact of roof materials to solar cell performances and compares two type of roof materials: clay tile and metal roof. Metal roof normally has higher surface temperature than clay tile, but lighter in term of weight. Metal roof has been commonly used to replace clay tile, at least in place where this research was conducted. Since many solar cells installed on roof-top, the roof material contributes to solar cell surface temperature that influences output voltage. The measurement will examine the temperature difference and the output of the solar cell panel.en_US
