dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the influence of internet addiction on physical activity among university students. This study employed a quantitative method involving 341 students aged 18-25 years (M=19.5, SD=1.4) in Medan, selected using cluster random sampling technique. Data in this study were collected through a questionnaires Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS) developed by Andreassen (2012), which includes 18 items and Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) developed by WHO (2021), which includes 16 items. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The result indicated that there was no significant effect of internet addiction on physical activity among students (p < 0.05). These findings highlight the importance of managing internet use among students to minimize negative impact on their health.en_US
