dc.description.abstract | The increase in population generates an increasing amount of waste and is accompanied by the high
consumptive patterns of the population. These conditions result in the accumulation of household
waste and biomass waste, causing environmental pollution problems. The presence of biomass stoves
provides convenience to the community to overcome waste problems. Therefore, the creation of a
simple incineration-based waste destruction tool with a raft-mounted system, increasing the capacity
of the combustion chamber, increasing the air supply, and adding tool components. Modifications were
made to the TOSS biomass stove, which is designed to process household waste in segregated and
mixed conditions. This tool is assembled using bolt joints and folding joints with low-cost materials
that are easily available, with a combustion chamber capacity of 15 liters. Tests were conducted to
evaluate the performance of the device in terms of combustion efficiency, combustion chamber
temperature, and gas emissions. The application of household waste destruction technology uses
Autodesk Inventor to design the tool. The results of the CO parameter air quality test were 532
mg/Nm³ in segregated waste (wood branches) and 1267 mg/Nm³ in mixed waste. The results show a
household waste destruction technology is effective in reducing the mass of waste by 90%. | en_US |
