Kampung Tandam Hulu I, Hamparan Perak, Deli Serdang Regency has issues with the soil's ability to absorb water, leading to flooding/run-off due to low infiltration rates. This study aims to determine the infiltration rate values around biopore infiltration holes (LRB) along with the physical and chemical properties that influence them and the soil infiltration rates. The research was conducted in two different areas based on the type of waste used in the LRB, namely leaf waste (Location A) and fish waste (Location B). This study employed an experimental method and the Horton infiltration rate measurement model. The results showed that Location B, with fish waste filling, had the highest increase in infiltration rate at 2.1 cm/hour compared to Location A with vegetable waste filling at 1.2 cm/hour; this may be due to better physical and chemical properties of the soil at Location B than at Location A. Furthermore, the ideal number of LRBs for maximum infiltration rate at Location A was 148.25 liters/hour, requiring 91 units, while 92 units were needed for Location B with a maximum infiltration rate of 147.16 liters/hour.en_US
