Hypertension is defined as a condition where an individual experiences an increase in blood pressure within the arteries above normal, leading to an increase in morbidity and mortality rates. Sleep pattern disturbances are defined as a condition characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness, difficulty sleeping at desired times, and frequent awakenings at night, thereby worsening sleep quality. Patients with hypertension generally have poor sleep patterns. If a hypertensive patient has poor sleep patterns, it will affect their blood pressure, potentially triggering relapses and other complications. Therefore, poor sleep quality in hypertensive patients must be addressed immediately. Sleep pattern disturbances can be managed with non-pharmacological therapy, such as Benson's relaxation therapy. This non-pharmacological therapy uses a breathing relaxation method involving the patient's belief factors, which can create an internal environment that helps the patient achieve a higher state of health and well-being. The aim of this senior practicum is to provide nursing care to hypertensive patients experiencing sleep pattern disturbances by implementing Benson's relaxation therapy. Nursing care was conducted from May 20 to May 25, 2024, for two hypertensive patients with sleep pattern disturbances using Benson's relaxation therapy to improve sleep patterns in elderly hypertensive patients. The evaluation results showed an improvement in the sleep patterns of both hypertensive patients; after three days of Benson's relaxation therapy, both clients experienced an increase in sleep duration from three hours to five hours. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant change in sleep patterns before and after Benson's relaxation therapy. This therapy is very effective and is recommended for hypertensive patients experiencing sleep pattern disturbances to apply Benson's relaxation therapy independently.en_US
