Abstract

Prof. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Teaching Hospital is a teaching hospital and there is a special maternity room in it. Based on the results of interviews with the Head of the Maternity Room (Ns. Y), the number of mothers who gave birth in April was 42 peoples. There were 11 mothers who gave birth normally and 31 mothers who gave birth by SC. This shows the high number of mothers who gave birth by SC. One of the problems for mothers after childbirth that is often experienced is ineffective breastfeeding. Ineffective breastfeeding is a condition where the mother and baby experience dissatisfaction or difficulty in the breastfeeding process. Nursing care was provided at Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis teaching hospital. The purpose of this senior practical report is to improve students' ability to provide nursing care to postpartum mothers with the problem of ineffective breastfeeding. After being given nursing care for 3 consecutive days, it was found that the mother's ability to breastfeed (position and attachment) increased, breast milk droplets / outflow in both managed patients increased, adequate breast milk supply increased, the confidence of both managed patients increased, maternal anxiety of both managed patients decreased
