Analisa Fungsi Pengawasan Kepala Ruangan terhadap Penerapan Keselamatan Pasien di Ruang RB 2 RSUP H. Adam Malik

Abstract

The nurse leaders has a controlling function to assess the implementation of nursing services and implementation of patient safety according to standards. The controlling function is necessary to create a safe and incident-free safety environment. Risks caused by negligence to patient safety can result in serious injury to the patient, including permanent disability and even morbility. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the supervisory function of the nurse leader regarding the implementation of patient safety in Room RB 2 RSUP H. Adam Malik. This research was carried out using interview and observation methods using interview and observation guides. The research results show that the controlling function carried out by the nurse leader is not optimal. This can be seen from the lack of implementation of patient safety measures and the lack of reports regarding patient safety by nurses to the head of the room. It is hoped that the nurse leader can increase controlling of the implementation of patient safety, especially on safety measures that have not been implemented and encourage staf to report patient safety incidents.
