Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Pasien dengan Hipertensi dengan Pemberian Terapi Foot Massage di Ruangan Cendana – Zaitun Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg. The total number of hypertension cases affects 22% of the world's population. The way to prevent the emergence of various complications of hypertension is with appropriate and good management. Treatment that can be carried out is pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be done to reduce high blood pressure is foot massage therapy. The purpose of this writing is to describe nursing care for patients with hypertension in the Cendana - Zaitun Room at the Prof. Dr. Cairudding Panusunan Lubis Teaching Hospital, University of North Sumatra and performs foot massage therapy on patients to lower blood pressure. The results of the assessment showed that the main complaints in both patients were headache and dizziness, nausea, vomiting and shortness of breath. Nursing diagnoses are acute pain, nausea and decreased cardiac output. Most nursing action plans can be implemented in nursing implementation and nursing evaluation of nursing diagnoses that are found to be resolved. Foot massage therapy has also been proven to be useful in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
