dc.description.abstractBackground: Endophytic microbes are a potential source of bioactive compounds that exhibit biological activities similar to their host. Acronychia trifoliolata Zoll. & Moritzi is a medicinal plant from the Rutaceae family, known for its high antioxidant content. Purpose: The objective of this research is to isolate and characterize antioxidant compounds produced by the endophytic fungus AtDnBa-3 from the leaves of Kaliban-ban Bali. Method: The endophytic fungus was cultured in Potato Dextrose Broth (PDB) medium for three weeks. The obtained extract was isolated using column chromatography, yielding fraction F2.3. The purity of the fraction was tested using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), while antioxidant activity was assessed using the DPPH method at concentrations of 32, 64, and 128 ppm. Compound characterization was conducted using GC-MS and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance 13 C−NMR. Results: The results of the qualitative that fraction F2.3 exhibited antioxidant activity, indicated by a yellow color against a purple background on the TLC plate. The obtained IC50 value was 450.2 μg/ml, with an antioxidant activity index (AAI) of 0.068, categorized as very weak antioxidant activity. GC-MS analysis identified five major compounds: palmitic acid, heptadecanoic acid, palmitoleic acid, vaccenic acid, and oleic acid. 13 C−NMR 13 and DEPT-135 analysis confirmed that the major compound in fraction F2.3 was oleic acid (C18H34O2). Conclusion: The results indicate that fraction F2.3 from endophytic fungi of Kaliban-ban Bali leaves (AtDnBa-3) exhibits very weak antioxidant activity, with 13 C−NMR analysis confirming the compound as oleic acid (C18H34O2).en_US
