dc.description.abstractThe increasing amount of waste in Indonesia, especially in urban areas, poses a serious challenge to environmental management. Incinerators, as thermal waste treatment technology, have the potential to reduce waste volume significantly but generate air emissions that require monitoring. This research aims to design a cost-effective Internet of Things (IoT)-based ambient air quality monitoring. This tool is equipped with various sensors to detect pollutant parameters such as particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10), carbon monoxide (CO), and sulfur dioxide (SO2), as well as temperature and humidity sensors. Measurement data are transmitted in real-time via Wi-Fi and visualized using a Grafana dashboard. Tests were carried out twice for PM2.5 and PM10 parameters, CO parameters were tested thrice. In this study, the error results obtained in testing 1 PM2.5 parameters is 0,1%, in testing 2 PM2.5 parameters is 31,9%, in testing 1 PM10 parameter is 48,1%, testing 2 PM10 is 1,3%, and in testing 1 CO parameter is 98,1%, in testing 2 CO parameters is 0,2%. The average result of testing 3 CO parameters is 0,416 ppm. The average result of testing the SO2 parameter is 0,339. It is hoped that the tool will be an effective solution to support the monitoring and managing of ambient air quality.en_US
