dc.description.abstract | Desalination is a process to obtain clean water by removing excess salt content in water to obtain water that can be consumed. One type of desalination that is often used is desalination that uses solar energy as the main heat source or also known as solar still. In previous research that has been done, it was found that the conventional double slope double basin has a weakness, namely the obstruction of sunlight that will enter by plywood or material that functions as an insulator retaining wall that is useful for holding or inhibiting the heat loss process in the basin / absorber In this study, a double basin double slope type solar still with modified glass walls was designed and built. The dimensions of the lower basin are 1m x 1m, while the dimensions of the upper basin are 0.5m x 1m. | en_US |
