    Abstract
    Nursing care management in elderly care includes as a provider of care (direct care), educator, manager (providing nursing care to patients and families with an interdisciplinary team). High blood pressure or hypertension is a chronic condition in which blood pressure in the arteries increases, forcing the heart to work harder to pump and circulate blood through the blood vessels. High blood pressure is known as the silent killer because patients with hypertension are mostly asymptomatic. A person is diagnosed with hypertension if blood pressure measurements on multiple visits show a systolic pressure of 140 mmHg and/or a diastolic pressure of 90 mmHg The successful management of hypertension in Indonesia is still lacking and requires serious efforts from various parties. Self care is an important step to take as an integral part of hypertension case management. The purpose of writing this report is to improve students' ability to apply nursing care comprehensively in order to complete senior practical courses and to determine Self Care Management behavior in the elderly with Hypertension. Nursing care for clients using interview and observation methods related to self-care management with hypertension in Padang Bulan Selayang 1 village. Nursing care management consists of assessment in the form of interviews, determination of data analysis and nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions, implementation and nursing evaluation. The results obtained from 5 managed patients have different self-care management behaviors from one another. interventions are carried out for 3 days to see the level of client knowledge related to modifying self-care management behavior in each client. It is recommended for families to support clients to apply nursing management to improve the quality of life of the elderly with hypertension problems.
