Strategi Komunikasi Pemerintah Kota Langsa dalam Menyampaikan Himbauan Vaksin Covid-19 kepada Masyarakat Kota Langsa

Abstract

This research is entitled “Communication Strategy of the Langsa City Government in Conveying the Covid-19 Vaccine Appeal to the People of Langsa City”. The purpose of this study is to determine the communication strategy applied by the Langsa City Government in conveying the appeal for the Covid-19 vaccine to increase the community in the Covid-19 vaccination program to the people of Langsa City. The literature review used in this research is Communication, Communication Strategy, and Covid-19 Vaccine. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. The research conducted a series of data analysis techniques, namely data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification and used data validity tests. The data validity test in this study used source triangulation. The informants in this study totaled 9 people, consisting of 3 people from the City Government as the main informant, 1 person from a community leader as a key informant, and 5 people from the people of Langsa City who had vaccinated. Sampling informants using purposive sampling technique.The results of this study explain that the Langsa City Government uses 5 main communication strategies in calling for vaccination to the people of Langsa City, namely communication strategies through the media, communication strategies using one-way communication, collaborative communication strategies, communication strategies using community leaders approach and communication strategies using coercive methods.
