Redesain Hotel Sibayak Internasional Berastagi dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular

Abstract

Hotel Sibayak Internasional Berastagi is one of the accommodation facilities in the form of a resort hotel located in Berastagi. However, this building has been standing for a long time causing a decrease in the building's performance and the effectiveness of the existing space functions. Along with the increasing need for accommodation facilities to support tourists visiting Berastagi, this has resulted in the construction of many facilities with similar functions. Therefore, to be able to compete with these developments, a redesign was carried out in the form of renewal and development at the Hotel Sibayak Internasional Berastagi to improve existing performance and services. Hotel Sibayak Internasional Berastagi is located in an area that has a strong Karo Batak culture. In response to this, the approach that will be used in the redesign of the Hotel Sibayak Internasional Berastagi is Neo Vernacular Architecture. This approach aims to create buildings that can represent the local culture by implementing local elements into designs that are the identity of the area but with a touch of modern style so that they can attract visitors and are in line with the times.
