Stroke is a condition that occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is suddenly interrupted, because some brain cells die due to disruption of blood flow due to blockage or rupture of brain blood vessels. The death of brain tissue can result in the loss of functions controlled by that tissue. Blood flow stops causing the supply of oxygen and food to the brain to stop, so that parts of the brain cannot function as they should. Range of Motion (ROM) training is a form of exercise in the rehabilitation process which is considered to be quite effective in preventing disability in patients with stroke. The aim of this research is to carry out nursing care applying passive Range of Motion (ROM) to increase muscle strength in stroke patients. The practical location is Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Educational Hospital, Medan. This passive Range of Motion (ROM) exercise was given to 1 stroke patient which was carried out on May 20-May 25 2024. After the action was carried out the patient responded well and was cooperative during the activity, so that the passive range of motion (ROM) action was implemented to patients can increase the patient's muscle strength.en_US
