This is about the development plan for the potential of Baktiraja District, especially
the Planning of the Tourism Information Center. Humbang Hasundutan district regional
regulation number 6 of 2019 concerning the Humbang Hasundutan district tourism
development master plan for 2018-2025 namely, Part Two point (12) a. developing Regional
tourism information centers in the Doloksanggul primary service center and Pakkat and
Baktiraja secondary service centers, as well as village tourism information centers in
thematic tourism villages.
The functions and benefits of the Tourism Information Center include playing an
active role in bringing visitors to a destination by means of promotions, as well as increasing
the length of stay and the amount of tourist spending; convey information related to tourism
in a destination, such as Attractions, Amenities, Accessibility, and Tourism Activities and
educate tourists about local wisdom values and customs that apply in the area.
Various activities that can promote tourism in Baktiraja District such as holding
cultural activity festivals, art galleries and skills training they have and pass on cultural skills
through art. Furthermore, training on services for visitors by the local community has not
yet been seen to be carried out.
To strengthen the concept of tourism will also raise the identity of the local wisdom
of the local area. Because this identity will be a differentiator, and able to attract tourists to
come and visit tourist attractions. In accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No.
6 of 2015, the Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) stipulates as value created from
intellectual resources which cover 16 creative industry sub-sectors. The sixteen sub-sectors
include Architecture, Interior Design, Visual Communication Design, Product Design, etc.
Therefore it was decided to use the theme of Neo-Vernacular Architecture, which does not
leave Archipelago Architecture and takes into account the latest technology.
