dc.description.abstract | This research is to determine students' perceptions of the library. This type of
research is comparative descriptive. The population of this study was 1275 people
with a sample of 470 students. The aim of this research is to determine students'
perceptions of the library's collections, circulation services and infrastructure. The
results of the research show that students' perceptions of the library regarding
collections are satisfactory. Students' perceptions of library circulation services
regarding the services provided by library staff, the number of books borrowed, the
period of borrowing, the borrowing process, the return process, and the amount of
fines. The library staff's service assistance is helpful, the number of books that can
be borrowed is sufficient, the time limit for borrowing books is not met, the process
of borrowing books is not difficult, the process of returning books is easy, and the
amount of late fines for returning books is burdensome. Students' perceptions of
library facilities and infrastructure regarding area, comfort, availability of reading
tables and chairs, availability of bookshelves, and room lighting. The atmosphere
in the library is comfortable, the number of reading tables and chairs is inadequate,
the number of bookshelves is inadequate, and the room lighting is good. | en_US |
