The Relationship Between Religiosity and Subjective Well-being among Inmates in Women's Correctional Institutions
Abstract
Religiosity is a belief that every inmate has, not only including belief, but also obedience in carrying out their worship. This research aims to examine the relationship between religiosity and the subjective well-being of inmates at the Women's Correctional Institution. This research involved 181 subjects of inmates taken using the Accidental Sampling method. The research method is a quantitative research method with data collection using a Likert scale. The instruments used were a religiosity scale, and a subjective well-being scale (PANAS and SWLS). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the higher a person's religiosity, the higher the subjective well-being of inmates in women's correctional institutions. The results of this research show that there is a significant relationship between religiosity and subjective well-being (p < 0.005) among inmates at the Women's Correctional Institution.
