dc.description.abstract | The selection process for the Professional Psychology Education Program
requires valid and reliable assessment tools to evaluate the cognitive potential of
prospective students. The UGRT (USU General Reasoning Test) serves as one
such instrument, with its figural subtest designed to measure visual-spatial
reasoning abilities. This study aims to analyze the item quality of the figural
subtest of UGRT, focusing on reliability, discrimination index, and difficulty
level. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method using secondary data
from 67 respondents. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach's Alpha, item
discrimination was measured through item-total correlation, and difficulty level
was analyzed based on the proportion of correct answers. The results showed
that the figural subtest's reliability, indicated by Cronbach's Alpha, was 0.488,
suggesting a low level of reliability. Most items demonstrated low to negative
discrimination indices, and the majority were categorized as difficult based on
their difficulty indices. These findings highlight the need to revise the test items
to enhance the validity and reliability of UGRT as a selection tool. | en_US |
