Laporan Praktik Kerja Profesi Puskesmas di UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan Medan

Abstract

Background: Health efforts are every activity to maintain and improve health, aiming to realize optimal health status for the community. Puskesmas is a health service facility that organizes public health efforts (UKM) and first-level individual health efforts (UKP) by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts in its working area. Objective: The implementation of pharmacist professional work practice at UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan aims to determine the duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in carrying out pharmaceutical services and to compare pharmaceutical services at UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan with Minister of Health Regulation No. 74 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards at Puskesmas;. Methods: Pharmacist professional work practice at UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan was carried out on September 4 to September 30 2023 on Monday- Friday at 08.00-15.00 WIB and Saturday at 08.00-13.30 WIB using direct observation and participatory methods. Results: Based on the professional work practice of pharmacists at UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan, it shows that the duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in the management of pharmaceutical preparations and Consumable Medical Materials (BMHP) and clinical pharmacy services at UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan are largely in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 74 of 2016. Conclusion: Pharmaceutical services at UPT Puskesmas Medan Labuhan are in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 74 of 2016 concerning pharmaceutical service standards at Puskesmas, but there are still some shortcomings, namely not fully conducting counseling, reporting Monitoring of Drug Side Effects (MESO) and Monitoring Drug Therapy (PTO).
