Abstract

This study presents an analysis of translation techniques in the Arabic stories عازف و برين موسيقي ين برين /’āzfū birīmin mūsīqiyyīn birīmin/ Bremen City Musicians. The focus of this study is analysis of the translation techniques found in the Arabic story عازفو برين موسيقي ين برين /’āzfū birīmin mūsīqiyyīn birīmin/ Musicians of Bremen City. The purpose of this study is to identify the techniques in the translation of the Arabic story عازفو بري ن موسيقي ين بري ن /’āzfū birīmin mūsīqiyyīn birīmin/ Bremen City Musicians. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used in this research involves listening and note-taking techniques. The theory applied in this research is based on the theory proposed by Molina and Albir. The results of this research show that there are eight translation techniques, namely adaptation, borrowing, linguistic amplification, literal translation, particularization, reduction, transposition and amplification. The conclusion of this research is that the dominant translation technique is the transposition technique.
