dc.description.abstractThis research discusses about analyze illocutionary speech acts in the film Alrawabi School For Girls. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the classification of illocutionary speech acts. The theory used is illocutionary speech acts by Searle. The data of this research are in the form of speech by the main characters and other supporting characters that contain the classification of illocutionary speech acts. The data source comes from a film entitled ‘’ مدرسة الروابي للبنات / Madrasatu Ar-rawabῑ li Al-banāti /’ Sekolah putri Ar-rawabiy. Data were collected using the free listening method by listening and recording dialogues containing illocutionary speech acts in the film. The results of this study show that the total data of 50 classification speech acts consists of : Classification of 9 assertive illocutionary speech acts, 27 directive speech acts, 2 commissive speech acts, 11 expressive speech acts, 1 declarative speech acts.en_US
