Persepsi Pemustaka terhadap Ketersediaan Sarana dan Prasarana Perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Universitas Prima Indonesia Medan

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know users’ perception regarding the availability of facilities and infrastructure at library University Prima Indonesia Medan. This research is only limited to users' perceptions of aspects of facilities and infrastructure at library consisting of buildings, rooms, facilities, and locations based on the National Standard for Higher Education Libraries Number 13 of 2017. The type of research used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample was determined by Slovin formula so the sample consisted of 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this research used Accidental Sampling. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires using Google Forms. For processing data, the formula used is interval scale. The data analysis technique was used with a Likert scale. The research results showed that: (1) the users’ perception toward the library building obtained an average score of 3.52%. It means the users’ perception toward building of library University Prima Indonesia Medan is very good; (2) The users’ perception toward the library room obtained an average score of 2.64%, which shows that the users’ perception toward the room of library University Prima Indonesia is good; (3) the users’ perception toward library facilities obtained an average score of 3.10%, which shows that the users’ perception toward the facilities of library University Prima Indonesia Medan is good; (4) the users’ perception toward the library location obtained an average score of 3.53%, which shows that the users’ perception toward the location of library University Prima Indonesia Medan is very good. Based on the results of the average score of respondents' answers, it can be concluded that the users’ perception of the availability of facilities and infrastructure at library University Prima Indonesia Medan is good so it resulted in an average score of 3.00% and it is based on the Standards for Library Facilities and Infrastructure on Head Librarian Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2017.
