Customer dissatisfaction, high defective products, and lack of workers effort in doing their jobs indicate the need for continuous improvement to improve performance. This study contains the implementation of a participatory ergonomics program used as an effort for continuous improvement to improve performance. The participatory ergonomics program consists of a risk assessment with FMEA and is continued with the implementation of participatory ergonomics, FGD and training. This study will also look at the effect of communication and knowledge on the success of the participatory ergonomics program in an effort to improve performance with the Partial Least Square method using SmartPLS software. The results of the risk assessment with FMEA are the lack of worker competence which is then carried out as an effort to improve performance by implementing participatory ergonomics. The results of partial least square are that communication and knowledge do not have a partial effect on performance. However, the participatory ergonomics program has a significant effect on performance. The participatory ergonomics program mediates the influence of communication and knowledge on performance with the type of indirect full mediation. However, the magnitude of the mediation influence is included in the low influence category. Researcher hope that companies can consider the results of the study because basically participatory ergonomics programs are a gradual improvement process related to changes that occur over time. Therefore, this process must be accompanied by worker involvement and support from company management.
