Abstract
Hypertension is a high blood pressure disease where a chronic condition is characterized by increased blood pressure on the walls of the arteries. Systolic blood pressure of hypertension is above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of hypertension is above 90 mmHg. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in the world, the number of people with hypertension is around 1.13 billion. It is estimated that I in 5 women worldwide are hypertensive and around 9.4 million people die each year. Hypertension can occur due to several factors, especially a person's lifestyle. Management of hypertensive patients is divided into 2, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. In carrying out this senior practice, the practitioner provides nursing care to hypertensive clients with non-pharmacological management, namely by using the slow deep breathing exercise method to lower blood pressure. The results of the implementation showed that from 2 patients, there was a decrease in blood pressure of 1-2 mmHg after slow deep breathing exercises were carried out for 4 days.
