Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga pada Anggota Keluarga dengan Hipertensi Menggunakan Hidroterapi Air Hangat pada Kaki di Lingkungan III Kecamatan Medan Maimun

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic disease that requires lifelong therapeutic control. Every increase of 20 mmHg in systolic blood pressure or 10 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure can increase the risk of death from ischemic heart disease and stroke. Controlling blood pressure can reduce the risk of death, cardiovascular disease and stroke. The aim of this senior practicum is to provide family nursing care to family members who experience hypertension. The phenomenon that occurred regarding the incidence of hypertension was acquired when in the Medan Maimun sub-district environment, 3 people were detected with hypertension. The results obtained were that there was a decrease in blood pressure in 3 respondents before and after being given the intervention and families who previously did not know about hypertension and how to treat hypertension after the intervention had implemented an understanding of how to provide care to families suffering from hypertension and improve self-care for hypertension sufferers. . The conclusion obtained after carrying out the family nursing care process was that there was an increase in the role of family health duties with family members with hypertension in Ward III, Medan Maimun sub-district.
