dc.description.abstract | Background: Taking into account the importance of the role of prospective pharmacists in knowing the duties of pharmacists in community practice at pharmacies so that they are ready to carry out their profession as pharmacists in the community health center environment, it is hoped that the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) in community health centers can increase the knowledge of prospective pharmacists in carrying out pharmaceutical activities both in the clinical and clinical fields. pharmaceutical supplies. PKPA activities at the UPT Puskesmas Sei Agul Medan City are carried out with several activities which include pharmaceutical supplies, including procedures for planning, ordering, receiving, distributing, storing, managing, reporting pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials at the puskesmas.
Objective: It is hoped that Pharmacist Professional Work Practices (PKPA) at community health centers can increase the knowledge of prospective pharmacists in carrying out pharmaceutical activities both in the clinical field and in pharmaceutical supplies. The implementation of PKPA at the community health center is carried out in order to provide an overview of the responsibilities and problems as well as taking solutions at the community health center. Method: Pharmacist Professional Work Practices (PKPA) in community health centers are work practices in the PKPA pharmacist professional education program at UPT Sei Agul Health Center, Medan City, implemented in September 2023, with an effective PKPA implementation time of 80 hours. Activities are carried out from Monday to Friday at 08.00-15.00 and Saturdays at 08.00-13.30 accompanied by the guidance of the pharmacist managing the UPT Sei Agul Health Center Medan City pharmacy located on Jalan Karya II No. 54 Karang Berombak Village, West Medan District.
Results: PKPA UPT Sei Agul Community Health Center activities provide knowledge regarding pharmaceutical practices in community health centers including pharmaceutical supplies, clinical pharmacy services and providing drug information in the community health center environment which includes ordering procedures, receiving orders for pharmaceutical preparations, prescriptions accompanied by the implementation of counseling and providing drug information to patients, compounding daily prescriptions, collecting data on pharmaceutical supplies and storing pharmaceutical supplies in pharmacies on a FEFO (First Expired First Out) and FIFO (First in First Out) basis as well as providing drug information services.
Conclusion: Because there are structures and procedures that work well at the UPT Puskesmas Sei Agul, prospective pharmacists can gain good pharmaceutical knowledge in implementing PKPA Puskesmas. | en_US |
