dc.description.abstract | The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) activities at UPTD Khusus Rumah Sakit Umum Haji Medan include the management of pharmaceutical supplies, medical devices, and Consumable Medical Materials (BMHP), covering the entire process from drug selection, planning, procurement, reception, storage, distribution, disposal and recall, control, administration, reporting, to clinical pharmacy services. These services include prescription review and dispensing,
medication history tracking, medication reconciliation, Drug Information Service (PIO), counseling, ward rounds, Drug Therapy Monitoring (PTO), Monitoring Drug Side Effects (MESO), Drug Use Evaluation (EPO), dispensing sterile preparations, and Monitoring Blood Drug Levels (PKOD). Additionally, the activities cover inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, other clinical pharmacy
services, as well as the management of the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), medical gases, and waste management. The general objective of conducting the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) in the hospital is to study the roles and functions of pharmacists in the management of pharmaceutical supplies and clinical pharmacy services at UPTD Khusus Rumah Sakit Umum Haji
Medan. Management of Pharmaceutical Supplies, Medical Devices, and Consumable Medical Materials, and Clinical Pharmacy Services. Pharmacist candidates can provide clinical services such as managing pharmaceutical supplies, medical devices, and Consumable Medical Materials (BMHP), covering drug selection, planning, procurement, reception, storage, distribution, disposal and recall, control, administration, reporting, and clinical pharmacy services.
